Mahindra Lifespace Developers and Actis have teamed up to create ‘Ample Parks’, a new platform for developing industrial and logistics parks, with their inaugural project set in Chennai.
Actis, a global leader in sustainable infrastructure investment, and Mahindra Lifespace, an Indian real estate firm, revealed the formation of Ample Parks, an industrial and logistics real estate developer and operator. The joint venture aims to acquire and develop around 1.5 million square metres of greenfield and brownfield sites in key Indian markets over the coming years.
The goal of Ample Parks is to become a premier provider of industrial and logistics real estate solutions for both global and local corporations. Actis holds a majority stake in the JV, while Mahindra Lifespaces retains a significant minority share. The platform will be led by CEO Akash Rastogi and has already acquired its first property: a prime 70-acre industrial land parcel in Mahindra World City, Chennai. This site will be developed into an integrated industrial and logistics park featuring institutional-grade buildings.
Amit Sinha, Managing Director and CEO of Mahindra Lifespaces, stated, “The unveiling of Ample Parks marks a significant milestone in our commitment to developing sustainable and world-class industrial infrastructure in India.”
Mahindra Lifespace’s development portfolio includes 37.95 million square feet of completed, ongoing, and forthcoming residential projects across seven Indian cities. Additionally, it manages over 5,000 acres of ongoing and future projects at its integrated developments and industrial clusters across four locations.
